Bangladesh seamer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has replaced Rana Naved-ul Hasan in the Asian XI for the one-day matches against the African XI after the Pakistani pacer became unavailable for the series.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the inclusion of Mortaza after being informed by Afro-Asian Cricket Cooperation.
Earlier, Mortaza along with compatriot Khaled Mashud and Marvan Atapattu of Sri Lanka [Images] was selected as stand-by for the Asian XI when the 15-member team was announced on August 1.
Mohammad Ashraful [Images] is the other Bangladeshi player in the side.
"I was disappointed after getting no chance in the 15-member Asia squad, but now I feel very good seeing my name in the team," Mortaza was quoted as saying.
"It would have been more pleasant had I got the first chance call," he said adding that he would try to increase Bangladesh's image if he got a chance to play in the matches to be held later this month.
