Left arm spinner Ram Kumar grabbed six wickets for 47 runs as Tamil Nadu bundled out Uttar Pradesh for a paltry 136 and forced them to follow-on on the penultimate day of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match at the K D Singh Babu stadium in Lucknow on Thursday.

Uttar Pradesh wicketkeeper Mohammad Amir was the only batsman who showed some resistance, scoring 62 runs. Ali Hamid (19) and opener Rohit Prakash (15) were the other batsmen to reach double figures.

R Raghuram lent good support to Ram Kumar and claimed two wickets for 20 runs.

Facing a daunting task after conceding a 217-run first innings lead, Uttar Pradesh were five for no loss in their second innings at close of play.
