Maharashtra crush Assam

December 15, 2004 23:24 IST

Maharashtra trounced Assam by an innings and 46 on the penultimate day of the four-day Ranji Trophy Elite Group 'B' match at Aurangabad on Wednesday.

Resuming at 302 for seven, Maharashtra were bowled out for 400 in their first innings, but not before Mohan Dhruv, who was batting on 93 overnight, completed his century in style.

Dhruv, who made 122, was trapped leg before wicket by Arnald Konwar, who was the most successful Assam bowler claiming four for 110.
