Despite an unbeaten double century by Assam batsman R Satish, visitors Tamil Nadu picked two points by virtue of their 55-run first innings lead on the fourth and final day of the Ranji Trophy Elite division Group B match which ended in tame draw in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Satish, who was batting on 178 at close on day 3, remained not out on 204 as the Assam innings folded at 430, 55 runs behind the visitors' first innings score of 485/5 declared, at the Nehru stadium.

Resuming at the overnight score of 396 for eight, Assam's batsmen added only 34 runs this morning before R K Yadav (6) and Arlene Konwar (4) fell cheaply.

Srinivas was the most successful bowler for Tamil Nadu, claiming six wickets.

Tamil Nadu began their second innings shakily, losing opener S Ramesh for a duck with just nine on the board. However, his partner, Bidyut Sivaramakrishnan, scored 39 before he was bowled off Sukhwinder Singh.

Bikram Kumar steadied the Tamil Nadu innings, scoring 81 quick runs before being caught by substitute Mrigen Talukdar off a Arlene Konwar delivery.

Sriram and Ramkumar were not out at 62 and 29 respectively in the visitors' scored of 224 for 4 when the game ended.
