Born on October 11, 1972, in Beed district in Maharashtra's Marathwada region, Sanjay Bangar first played Ranji Trophy for the Railways in 1993.
After years of performing consistently on the domestic circuit, the all-rounder finally got his big break when he made his debut for India in the first Test against England at Mohali near Chandigarh on December 3, 2001.
