On Diwali, Tendulkar will light up his home

This year, the festival of lights has an extra glow for the Tendulkar household.

"This is probably the first time that Sachin will be spending time with the family during Diwali. Usually he is always touring during the festive season," his wife Dr Anjali said in Mumbai.

On her husband missing the one-dayers against the West Indies due to a hamstring injury, Anjali said, "Though both Sachin and I would rather have preferred he played, we do not really grudge this forced holiday."

"The children, Sara (5) and Arjun (3), are also thrilled to have their dad around. It is going to be family time for all of us with Sachin's brother and cousins dropping in," she said.

The master batsman, who flew in on Sunday night from Kolkata, was resting, she said.

While there will be firecrackers and sweets, it will be a quiet family get together for the family.
