Indian women taste first
Test win abroad

Indian women registered their first-ever Test victory abroad when they beat South Africa in Paarl by ten wickets on Saturday.

The Indian side, led by Anjum Chopra, scored 404 for nine declared in their first innings, and dismissed their opponents for 150 and 266 after they were forced to follow-on.

India finally achieved the victory, scoring 13 runs without any loss of wickets.

Team coach Paras Sinha said the team is "excited" over the "landmark victory".

Earlier, the Indians had lost the one-day series.
