'Catch Them Young'

It's hard to believe that India (population: 100 million) could not produce quality fast bowlers except few like Kapil and co. Instead of planning series after series without any break, for a change BCCI, should plan to groom quality cricketer, especially bowlers.

Let them give back to cricket what they have earned from it. Instead of head hunting for a quality bowler to represent the nation, they should breed them.

One better way of grooming quality bowlers is open few more bowling foundations. For sure, one MRF Pace foundation is definitely not enough. They should catch them young and put them in these foundations for extensive training.

They also should improve the standard of our domestic cricket. Earlier there was a concept of Rest day in Test matches now there is hardly any rest between Tests, and there is no concept of break in our cricket calendar.

The time table should change to accommodate break from international matches to free our national cricketer for domestic matches, by that our domestic cricketers will gain a lot from our experienced internationals. On the same token our Internationals will also have some time to rectify their problems before thier next international season.

Signed
Guruswamy Yoganandan
