The Unsung Hero

After a memorable debut where he was out five short of a superb century, Dravid cemented his place in the Indian team with a succession of brilliant hundreds in New Zealand.

His best innings have come when India has needed them most and earned him the nickname, "The Wall".

In 1998-99 in New Zealand he reached his 2000th run in Tests in just 40 innings - the quickest by any Indian batsman -even quicker than Hazare, Gavaskar and Tendulkar.
