Can Sachin
    do it?

India has not won a single Test series outside the subcontinent since Kapil Dev's 1986 squad beat England in England 16 years ago. For 13 of those 16 years, Sachin Tendulkar has been enthralling lovers of the game with his batting skills, breaking records and reaching milestones few will dare to even attempt.

But 20,000 international runs later, Tendulkar has failed to help India win a single series abroad with his batting.

On the eve of the Lord's Test, legendary opening batsman Sunil Gavaskar questioned his unrealized potential, tagging him an "underachiever abroad".

Tendulkar's poor showing with the bat in the Lord's Test has only fuelled the debate. Is Sachin the greatest? Will he ever play a memorable, match-winning innings on foreign soil? Or is he good only at crafting wins on the tailormade shirtfronts of Indian pitches?
