Jaywant Lele quits as BCA secretary

Baroda Cricket Association secretary and former BCCI secretary Jaywant Lele resigned on Saturday ahead of a no-confidence motion against him scheduled for voting on Sunday.

BCA president Chirayu Amin told PTI that Lele has resigned from his post and the Sunday meeting of BCA has been cancelled.

Former India stumper Kiran More along with other BCA members had submitted the motion against Lele, honorary secretary Pradeep Desai and treasurer Ramesh Dalvi alleging large-scale irregularities in BCA accounts for the year 1999-2000.

Both Desai and Dalvi put in their papers after the specially convened general body meeting of the association on October 8.
