What is Double Wicket?
Imagine a one-on-one battle between Mike Tyson and Bruce Lee. Double Wicket is thrilling, fast-paced as cricket has never been before. This new version of cricket, which has been growing in popularity for some time now, is different from traditional cricket in the following ways:

ˇ Each team consists of two players.
ˇ When a player gets out, runs are deducted and he remains on the crease.
ˇ The innings is of eight overs. Both players have to bowl four each.
ˇ Stock players are used as fielders and wicketkeepers.

Since the game requires both the players to bowl as well, it necessitates the use of all-rounders, equally proficient in batting and bowling. Since there is no fear of going back to the pavilion, players try to hit as many boundaries they can. Since there are 8 overs -- a side's innings in qualifying rounds -- results are quickly given. There are 10 overs in the semi-finals, and 12 overs in the final round.

Venue:
Lincoln Park is located ideally at the heart of Jersey City, NJ, 20 minutes from New York and Central New Jersey. This family park has lush green surroundings, and a good, smooth surface, suited for cricket.

The leading South Asian media house in USA, CinéMaya media, Inc., has been given the contract to produce the live 3-day telecast for Zee TV, and the event marketing for Sports Worldwide Inc., USA.
