Letter of the Day

December 27, 2001
Give England their dues

All said and done, skipper Nasser Hussain came to India with a raw and untried team and went back with his head held high.

Everyone says that it is difficult to win in India, but, then England almost went through at least in one of the last two tests. We have to credit Nasser Hussain with his captaincy and thinking which put our cricketers at the wrong end.

Every captain has his own tactics and when you want to win you can do anything as long as it is within the rules of the game.

Once again, well done England and you will do better not only in the forthcoming one dayers but also in New Zealand.

Signed
Denzil Fernandes
