Wadekar to appear before Madhavan on January 7

Former India cricket captain and manager Ajit Wadekar has been asked by Board of Control for Cricket in India's anti-corruption commissioner K Madhavan, who is looking into the CBI report on betting and match-fixing, to appear before him on January 7, 2001, at Delhi.

Wadekar, on Friday, informed that he has been summoned by Madhavan and would be leaving for Delhi on January 6.

"I am looking forward to the meeting and would like to get this matter sorted out once and for all," he added.

It is also believed that Kapil Dev too has been summoned by Madhavan on January 6. However, it is uncertain whether he will make an appearance as he had said he is not interested in meeting the former CBI official as the CBI had already cleared him of any involvement in the match-fixing scandal.
