Rajat directs Pyar Tune Kya Kiya

Rajat Mukherjee is the new director in town. His debut venture, Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, due for release on April 27, stars Urmila Matondkar, Fardeen Khan, and Sonali Kulkarni. The film is produced by none other than Ramgopal Varma.

Both Urmila and Fardeen created waves with their performance in Jungle. And Sonali is seen as one of India's best emerging talents, who left her mark in Mission Kashmir and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Even as the debutante refutes the rumour that Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is a remake of the Hollywood film Fatal Attraction, he has Urmila in a negative shade, playing an obsessive lover to Fardeen.

Mukherjee, who hails from Delhi, was an assistant director to producer-director, Ramgopal Varma, in Mast, and can share secrets on the art of making films and on making it big in Bollywood.

Catch him on The Rediff Chat on Thursday, 12 April, at 3 pm India time (05:30 am Eastern time).
