Questions Mr Sardesai did not answer

suwarn (Thu Aug 14 1997 21:58 IST)
Hello, Is Mr Sardesai in?

Suraj (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:0 IST)
Hello

Somesh (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:9 IST)
Dilip: Do ya think Sachin Tendulkar's captaincy is very rigid and not creative?

Dev (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:10 IST)
Dilip, how much money do Ranji and Test players make ??

Harish (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:12 IST)
Mr. Sardesai - why do we continue to have this "quota system" while picking players for the Indian team?

Raj (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:12 IST)
Hey Sorry, I forgot to mention, Jai Hind!! Happy Independence day to you all

Somesh (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:12 IST)
Dilip: Do ya agree that Indian cricket is on the decline 'coz of "politicisation of indian cricket" ?

Dave (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:13 IST)
Dilip, I think indians do not have killer instinct. agree?

Somesh (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:13 IST)
Dilip: If you are born again ..would you like to play cricket for india and why ?

Gaary (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:14 IST)
Thanks, Dilip. You are still one helluva guy! What is wrong with the Board's functioning? Are they so busy making money that they have forgotten to insure our future?

Clubwallah (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:15 IST)
Mr.Sardesai, I enjoyed watching your cricket in the late 60's. Thanks for the pleasure..God bless you

Dave (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:16 IST)
Dilip, don't blame the cricketers. Indians have changed too. You guys were stupid that you did not think about money

Ashutosh Narain (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:17 IST)
There is so much of discipline these days... cricketers are in bed by ten...they don't booze... they don't party.... they bdon't even ********... how come you guys did all this in your time and still come on tops... I am not speaking of Sir Gary alone... but I understand that even Tiger, Jai and you were HELLRAISERS in your time...

Harish (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:17 IST)
Actually I beg to differ - cricketers may earn more than they did before but nowhere near the compensation other sports figures (tennis, golf, soccer, baskeball) make...a MoM award for a Test match makes less than $5000 - Dennis Rodman of the Chicago Bulls pays that much in fines for a single game!! And he's nowhere near as talented as a Donald or an Akram or a Sachin..

Jason (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:17 IST)
Mr Sardesai, its a pleasure to be here with you sir, Sir what is your opinion of Sachin Tendulkar as captain?

HP (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:18 IST)
Mr Sardesai: Would India ever be a spinning nation again it once was during your playing days? Why is that India is finding it increasingly difficult to field a settled opening pair both in Test and one-day cricket?

Clubwallah (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:19 IST)
Mr.Sardesai, any comments about today's Indian spinners.

Somesh (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:20 IST)
Dilip: Thanx for ur answer. If we compare with good old days when ya used to play cricket for india, do ya think indian cricket and BCCI is still evolving in terms of professionalism?

Dave (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:20 IST)
Dilip, just like any other Indian old man, you r criticising current cricketers

Somesh (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:22 IST)
Dilip: What would you prefer to do if you become Prime Minister of india ?

Clubwallah (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:23 IST)
Probably decree that there should be only one stump and no fast bowlers...

Clubwallah (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:25 IST)
Adios. I am not used to talking to a silent wall. I am free and still on the outside.

Somesh (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:26 IST)
Haresh: Correction...In cricket we don't have match referees but umpires :)

suwarn (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:36 IST)
Mr. Sardesai, Does it mean that the cricketers today are not committed to the game, as compared to your era.

Rohan Kanhai (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:40 IST)
Think of some lamb curry maan, still hungry, and those Indian girls in Bombay with belly buttons showing. Forget cricket

Rohan Kanhai (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:42 IST)
My maan, Azuraddin is the one to watch; he is delightful to watch and he always in and out the playing fields have women on his mind.

rajankur (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:44 IST)
Dear sir, what do you feel about our current indian team , in future can they win any single trophy ?

Rohan Kanhai (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:44 IST)
Dilip: 'Air Cricket' is played with Wesley Hall in your mind and no bat in your hand you make a big hook with a smile, like the way you used to make before the game. Memories.. You know Lance (Gibbs) is in Florida selling for the Yankees maan.

Rohan Kanhai (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:46 IST)
Dilip, talk about the good ole days with us maan. You still in touch with Contractor, mann ?

Rohan Kanhai (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:48 IST)
I am an old man who needs 'bananas' everyday to have a good day. I still watch the young ones hit the ball cursing on a Sunday.

Rohan Kanhai (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:51 IST)
Whatever happened to pretty boy Abbas Ali Baig?

Nitin (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:51 IST)
Mr Dilip Sardesai: Who is India's best cricketer? And also, world's best cricketer today???

Jason (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:51 IST)
Mr Sardesai: What remedies do we need to take to put the Indian team on the top again?

rajankur (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:52 IST)
From your point of view who is the right Team manager of the indian team ? How our indian team will come up with their original standard ?

Rohan Kanhai (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:53 IST)
Dilip, Good Nite. I still think of the joke you told in Madras. Funny. Good tohear from you maan.

Nitin (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:56 IST)
Mr Sardesai: Who was the best Indian captain so far? And do you think that captains should not be changed too often as it affects the team spirit???

suwarn (Thu Aug 14 1997 22:57 IST)
Sir thanks for the dream team, but whom would you like to captain the team?
