Countries with most broadband connections
With the increase in the number of Internet users, demand for broadband connection is also growing.
The following is a list of countries by fixed (wired) broadband Internet subscriptions and penetration rate, compiled by the International Telecommunication Union for the year 2010.
It refers to subscriptions to high-speed access to the public Internet (a TCP/IP connection), at downstream speeds equal to, or greater than, 256 kbit/s.
This can include for example cable modem, DSL, fibre-to-the-home/building and other fixed (wired) broadband subscriptions.
