Which businesses most expect their employees to step up and lead? And also nurture them to do so? Global consulting firm Hay Group conducted a study to find out such organisations and also rate them.

It came up with a global list and also ranked companies in each continent. Globally, Procter & Gamble, Microsoft, and General Electric were among the top three companies that motivate leaders throughout the organisation to do their best by giving them opportunity to lead others.

In Asia, Tata Group was the only Indian conglomerate to feature in the list of top Asian companies that are best organisations for leaders.

Samsung is the largest South Korean business conglomerates. It started out as a trading company in 1938 and later diversified into various businesses including food processing, textiles, insurance, securities and retail. Samsung entered the electronics industry in the late 1960s.

The main sources of income for the company as of today are phones and semiconductors.

Samsung has a powerful influence on South Korea's economic development, politics, media and culture.

Its affiliate companies produce around a fifth of South Korea's total exports and the company’s revenue was equal to 17 per cent of the South Korea's $1,082 billion GDP, according to Wikipedia.
