Lebanese chocolatier Patchi had tied up with UK's Harrods for this exclusive offering. These were wrapped in Indian silk and each of the 49 pieces was covered up with gold and Swarovski crystal.

Chocolate truffle by Fritz Knipschildt

Price: $2,600 per pound

From the cafe of award-winning chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt, this truffle sells for $250 a piece, which converts to the price of $2,600 per pound. The product has a seven-day shelf life and is made-to-order.

Also called as La Madeline au Truffe, it has 70 per cent Valrhona dark chocolate, heavy cream, sugar, truffle oil and vanilla as the base.

Wispa Gold chocolate by Cadbury

Price: $1,628 a bar

Call it a marketing gimmick by Cadbury, the company made this bar as a campaign to re-launch its Wispa Gold chocolates in the UK, which was discontinued for six years. It was wrapped in an edible gold leaf and sheathed in a gold leaf wrapper. It was sold through Selfridges, a high-end department store chain in the UK.

DeLafee Chocolates with edible gold

Price: $508 per pound

DeLafee specialises in recipes and designs for luxury gifts decorated with edible gold and silver. This collection is made using cocoa from Ecuador, and obviously, edible gold. You can even buy edible gold from the company that is sold for $116 a gram, or approximately Rs 6,400.

Swarovski studded chocolate box by The Chocolate

Price: $294

The chocolate box was sold at Harrods, the luxury department store in London's Knightsbridge. It is now available at the-chocolate.com. The box that adorns over 450 Swarovski Crystals, houses 15 Amedei Toscano Black Truffles filled with champagne and topped with flakes of edible 24-carat gold. Each box is handmade and has unique design.
