A symbol of economic boom in India, its financial capital will be home to some of the world's most outstanding buildings.

Namaste Tower.

One of the most awaited skyscrapers in Mumbai is the Namaste Tower which will have 62 floors.

At a height of 300 metres (984 feet), it will be a landmark building in Mumbai's Lower Parel area.

Namaste Tower.
The building's shape is in the form of a greeting 'Namaste' as two wings of the hotel are held together like folded hands.

The tower plans to cater to Indian weddings. The design on the exterior represents the mehendi (henna) patterns, usually seen on a bride's hand.

The space between the wings is designed for a corridor. At the end of the corridor an open atria will offer hotel guests great views of the city.

The building will also have internal gardens.

The landmark building will have a hotel, office and retail space. Designed by Atkins Design Studio, Dubai, it will have a total area of 120,000 sq metres.

The building is designed to supply 12 per cent of the energy needed for hot water in hotel.  

The sky restaurant and bar will be the added attractions.
