Which nation is the most desired destination for emigrants worldwide? Well, it is the United States, with 150 million people preferring to move there.
Out of these, 22 million Chinese and 10 million Indians are eager to move to America permanently, according to a study by Gallup.
The Gallup study states that about 13 per cent of the world's adults or more than 640 million people preferred to leave their countries permanently.
People like the US for the society's openness to immigrants, opportunities to join family members or to start a new business, the Gallup survey said.

2. United Kingdom
People keen to migrate to UK: 45 million (7%)
Gallup finds that potential migrants aspire to move to countries all over the world, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. for the simple reason that they are in search of opportunity.

People keen to migrate to France: 32 million (5%)
According to the Gallup website, the results are based on aggregated telephone and face-to-face interviews with 4,52,199 people, aged 15 and above, in 151 countries and regions during 2009 to 2011.
