3 Indian airports among world's best

Three Indian airports are among the top five airports in the world providing international standard services. 

The annual service quality passenger survey undertaken by Airports Council International (ACI), an autonomous and independent body, measures customer feedback on a range of service delivery parameters that track the customer experience at an airport from the moment of arrival to the departure gate.

Incheon International Airport, Seoul (Rank 1)

Incheon International Airport is ranked the best airport in the world, in the category of 25-40 million passengers.

The largest airport in South Korea has been rated as the best airport worldwide by Airports Council International for seven years in a row (2005?).

The airport has a golf course, spa, private sleeping rooms, ice skating rink, a casino, indoor gardens and a Museum of Korean Culture.

Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi (Rank 2)

Indira Gandhi International Airport is the busiest airport in India. With the commencement of operations at the new Terminal 3, it has become one of India's important aviation hubs, with a current capacity of handling more than 46 million passengers.

In 2011-12, the airport handled 35.88 million passengers and the planned expansion program will increase its capacity to handle 100 million passengers by 2030.

In 2011, the IGIA was ranked the second-best airport in the world in the 25-40 million passengers category.

The airport is the second busiest airport in India in terms of overall passenger traffic.  The airport has five operating terminals spread over an operational area of 1,500 acres.

CSIA handled 30.74 million passengers and 656,369 tonnes of cargo during FY 2011-12.

In 2011, the airport was ranked the third-best in the world in the 25-40 million passengers category by Airports Council International.
