Sensex loses over 300 points; Infosys slumps around 7%

The Nifty posted its biggest daily fall on Thursday in nearly four months, declining for a third session in four, as Infosys slumped after its president resigned, while profit-taking continued to hit shares from record highs earlier this month.

The Sensex closed 1.31 per cent lower, down 322 points at 24,234, while the broader Nifty ended 1.14 per cent lower, down 94 points at 7,235.

Shares of Infosys Ltd provisionally ended 7.94 per cent lower.
