Highest and lowest petrol prices in Indian cities

Petrol prices in India are amongst the highest in the world.
Petrol in India is more expensive than 98 other countries. In terms of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) prices, petrol is costlier in India than most countries.The PPP price of petrol in India is $3.95, lower than just three small countries, according to The Economic Times.
While petrol price was increased six times in 2010, it has been raised 4 times this year already. Petrol prices vary across India depending on value added Tax (VAT) and other local levies.
