Fall of high profile wickets shakes Infosys

In yet another high profile exit at Infosys, India’s second-largest information technology (IT) services company, Ashok Vemuri, head of operations (Americas) and global head (manufacturing and engineering services) resigned. 

Vemuri, a member of the Infosys board, was said to be one of the contenders for the chief executive’s position, along with board members V Balakrishnan and B G Srinivas.

This is the third high-profile exit at Infosys since the return of co-founder N R Narayana Murthy as executive chairman in June.

Reasons were said to be his disappointment over not being considered for the CEO’s position.

TV Mohandas Pai is the Chairman of Manipal Global Education. He joined Infosys in 1994 and was Member of the Board from May 2000- July 2011.

He later became the Chief Financial Officer from 1994 to 2006. In 2006, he voluntarily gave up this post to lead initiatives in the areas of Human Resources and Education and Research.

Subash Dhar resigned after being removed from the position of global sales head.

He left Infosys after 14 years to launch EnterpriseNube, a leading global firm in IT Services & Consulting. 

Subhash was Senior Vice President and Worldwide Head of Sales, Marketing & Alliances at Infosys. He was also a Member of Infosys Executive Council.

Shaji Farooq left to join rival Wipro

Shaji Farooq was head of Infosys' consulting and systems Integration across the FSI (Financial Services Industry) vertical.

He joined rival Wipro as senior vice-president for the company's newly created advanced technologies service line which will comprise social media, mobility, analytics-as-a-service and cloud.

He has 24 years of professional experience and has 40 technology patents to his credit.

Reasons said to be part of overhaul by Narayana Murthy.

Basab Pradhan was the Head of Sales, Client Services, Alliances and Marketing at Infosys. He was involved in opening the company's first sales office in the New York area in 1995.

He is also the founder of financial research firm Gridstone Research.

Surprisingly, he announced his resignation via Twitter.

He joined California-based cloud computing start-up CliQr Technologies as the chief executive officer.

Left Infosys to join NIIT

After working with Infosys for 13 years, Sudhir Chaturvedi resigned as senior vice-president and head of financial services, Americas Business Unit of Infosys.

He has joined as chief operating officer (COO) at NIIT Technologies.
