FICCI shocked by low GDP growth

Last updated on: February 28, 2013 19:10 IST

Post the presentation of the Union Budget today, the GDP growth figures of a mere 4.5% has placed a greater onus on the government to implement reforms, said A Didar Singh, Secretary General, FICCI.

The budget is being seen as growth oriented, however, with the economy growing at its lowest in a decade, there is an urgent need to ensure that the steps envisaged in the budget are followed through and matched by speedy on-ground implementation of projects and schemes.
