Jaguar’s plan to enter into the promising markets like in India seem quite a strategic decision, and the Indian buyers too are happy with F-Type walking down the local markets. Jaguar F-Type price is fixed at Rs. 1.3-1.5 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai) excluding octroi charges. The strong competition for F-Type is from Porsche 911, considering various features of both of these.

Moving to the top speed, a very important as well as significant factor for a sports car, the V6 S reach 0-100km/h speed in 4.9 seconds, while the peak speed is measured at 275 km/h. On the other hand, the V8 S model takes 4.3 seconds to reach a speed of 100 kmph from complete stagnance, and features a peak speed of 300 km/h.

Both the mills are mated to 8-speed automatic transmission. There is one base V6 model, yet to be launched in India. The Jaguar F-Type V6 S model features mechanical slip diff, active exhaust with dual pipes, 50:50 weight distribution and an extraordinarily powerful V6 engine, while the V8 S model features electronic slip diff, active exhaust quad pipes and 51:49 weight distribution.

This particular sports wagon is the first sportscar from the British automobile company in the span of last 38 years, since the time E-Type went out on sale.
