The new i10 was designed and developed at the company’s Europe Technical Centre in Russelsheim, Germany.

The European production of the vehicle has been shifted from Chennai, India to Izmit, Turkey where the capacity has been expanded to 200,000 cars a year.

As Hyundai wishes to build more cars in regions where it sells them, the relocation was approved. Production has already started in Izmit.
