New Maruti Ritz

The facelift of the Maruti Ritz was expected in the month of September but might see a little delay due to the Manesar chaos. The estimated price range of the hatch is same as the outgoing model and is expected to lie between Rs 400,000 - Rs 500,000.

The facelift has led to a few changes at the front end whereas the rear end has more or less been left the same.

One major change up front has been the grille, now there is one big trapezoidal grille in the front with a little change in the placement and angle of the fog lamps giving it a little chic look.

Under the hood there aren't going to be major changes but the 1.2-litre K-Series engine will be joint with the VVT technology which will translate into a better and enhanced performance of the Maruti Ritz.

Whatever said and done, Maruti will be sending in the market a winner of a car because they know how to satisfy the needs of the Indian audience; mileage, affordable price and compact size.

Chevrolet Sail Hatchback

The all new hatch from the house of GM, Chevrolet Sail, was unveiled during the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi.

The Sail hatchback will be coming in, in the month of September with a starting price of approximately Rs 400,000.

The Sail hatch is expected to replace the Aveo U-VA, which isn't attracting much attention.

There isn't a 'oomph' factor in terms of looks but there one can say 'not bad' looking at it.

Honda Brio Diesel

Honda is soon to bring in the diesel version of their popular Brio hatchback, joining the diesel league.

The diesel version is expected somewhere near Diwali at a price of Rs 400,000 - 550,000.

Following Brio with diesel versions will be the City and Honda Jazz. Spy pictures and videos of the Brio diesel test mules have been floating on the internet since early this year making the wait, a rather impatient one.
