RCom launches US roaming pack for postpaid GSM users

TelecomReliance Communications on Friday launched a roaming pack for post-paid GSM customers travelling to the US claiming that they can save 98 per cent on data usage and up to 76 per cent on outgoing voice calls.

The roaming pack is available for Rs 849 with a validity of 30 days, the company said in a statement. 

"This is an extremely attractive plan designed to offer significant savings to all GSM post-paid customers on both data usage and voice calls during their stay in America," Reliance Communications Chief Revenue Officer Nilanjan Mukherjee said.

The company said with the pack, customers can access data at Rs 10 per MB on international roaming while the base tariff is Rs 614.4 per MB. Outgoing voice calls to India can be made for Rs 40 per minute as compared to the base tariff of Rs 165 per minute.

Incoming calls will be charged at Rs 40 per minute as against the base tariff of Rs 90, whereas local outgoing and international calls can be made for Rs 40 per minute, it added.

The company said this 'Awesome America Pack' will benefit over a million Indian tourists who travel to the United States every year.
