According to the plan, all staff dealing with customers such as personnel involved in ticket and parcel booking and onboard staff will have new uniform now.

Besides, she will also bring out a common uniform which can be used by all employees including senior officials of the national transporters.

Her new collection will also involve saree and T-shirts as she has been told to offer a complete package for railways.

She is expected to make her presentation in July. However, she will not charge any fee and design the dress for free, the official said.

Earlier railways had roped in NIFT for designing interior of coaches and selecting colour scheme for new trains like Tejas, Hamsafar and Uday service.
