Hailed as a 2016 flagship killer, Chinese handset maker OnePlus on Tuesday launched its new handset, OnePlus 2.

Priced at Rs 24,999, the phone will be available from August 11 on Amazon through the invite-only model.

OnePlus had launched its first device, OnePlus 1 in December last year and has sold about 2,50,000 units till date.

Featuring a 5.5-inch display, the 4G-enabled OnePlus 2 sports 4GB RAM, 64-bit Snapdragon processor, 64GB memory, 13MP rear and 5MP front camera and a 3,300 mAh battery.

The OnePlus 2’s 5.5” IPS LCD display promises crystal clear images, video, and text in any setting.

“Built on a powerful 64-bit architecture, the ultra-premium Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor takes mobile computing to new heights. Paired with the Adreno 430 GPU, intensive 3D games and other demanding apps have never looked more stunning,” says OnePlus.

Bullish on India, one of the fastest growing markets for smartphones, OnePlus said it expects to sell one million units of its two devices -- OnePlus One and Two -- in five months.

According to research firm CMR, 19.5 million smartphones were shipped in India in March 2015 quarter.
