Mark Zuckerberg supports Modi's 'Digital India'

Zuckerberg asked his followers to show their support for 'Digital India' initiative.

 

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Saturday expressed his support to the 'Digital India' campaign and changed his profile picture to convey his appreciation for the Narendra Modi government's effort to connect rural communities to the Internet.

"I changed my profile picture to support 'Digital India', the Indian government's effort to connect rural communities to the internet and give people access to more services online," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Zuckerberg asked his followers to show their support for 'Digital India' initiative.

The new profile picture showed a smiling Zuckerberg with three colours of the Indian flag.

 

Modi, while thanking Zuckerberg for the support, also changed his profile picture.

"Thanks Mark Zuckerberg for the support. I changed my display picture in support of the efforts towards a Digital India," the Prime Minister wrote on his Facebook account.

New profile picture of Modi also had his photograph with three colours of Indian flag on the same pattern as that of Zuckerberg.
