Centre clears 820km road link in AP

Union Minister of Rural Development Jairam Ramesh has approved the recommendations of the Empowered Committee to lay 820 kilometre roads in Srikakulam, Vizayanagaram, East Godavari, Warangal and Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh, which will cost Rs 415 crores (Rs 4.15 billion).

In a detailed letter to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Ramesh enclosed the minutes of the Empowered Committee wanted that the Andhra Pradesh government may have a quality control over the laying of roads.
