Auto Expo 2014: Honda Jazz makes Indian debut

February 10, 2014 19:52 IST

The new generation Honda Jazz made its Indian debut at the ongoing Auto Expo 2014. The Honda Jazz will be launched in the next financial year in India.

The all-new model builds on the Jazz’s innovative packaging, flexible cargo capability and fun-to-drive character with spirited new styling and a more spacious and refined interior.

For India, the Jazz will be launched with a petrol and a diesel engine. The petrol engine would be the 1.2-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder motor which finds its place in the Brio. In the Brio, this engine develops 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque.

A diesel variant of the Jazz will launch alongside the petrol. The diesel engine in question is the 1.5-liter i-DTEC four-cylinder engine which outputs 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. This engine has proven to be a fuel economical motor on the Amaze (25.8 km/l) and the new City (26 km/l) and it should prove its merits on the Jazz as well.
