IndiGo launches 8 new flights

No-frills carrier IndiGo on Friday launched eight new flights on domestic routes, besides enhancing frequencies on Singapore and Dubai routes as part of the its network expansion plans.

The new flights launched are from Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata among others, the airline said in a release.

IndiGo will now operate its fifth daily direct flight between Delhi and Chennai and second daily direct flight between Delhi and Kochi, the release said.

Additionally, the airline will operate its fourth daily direct flight between Mumbai and Chennai and fourth daily and direct flight between Mumbai and Kolkata, it added.

On the international network, the airline has launched a direct flight to Dubai from Thiruvananthapuram, a second daily direct flight on the Mumbai-Dubai

sector as well as a new daily direct flight service between Chennai and Singapore.

With the introduction of eight new services, the Gurgaon-based budget carrier would now be operating 399 flights per day connecting 33 destinations pan-India.
