Darbari Seth steps down from ACC board

As a part of his plans to reduce his corporate involvements, Darbari Seth has stepped down from the board of Associated Cement Companies effective from 14 August 1997.

According to a company release, Seth had spearheaded a very successful and rewarding Tata investment in ACC in 1988 and was invited to joint the ACC board.

Seth played a major role in the revival of ACC, which rose to great heights.

In his letter of N A Palkhivala, chairman of ACC, Seth has stated that it was a matter of great joy and satisfaction to him to have participated in the growth of ACC and he was leaving the board with a deep sense of satisfaction, the release said.
