IBM India Limited, fully owned subsidiary of global infotech leader, on Monday said that it would look into acquisition opportunities in India but has yet to zero in on specifics.

''We are always looking at acquisition opportunities but we cannot tell you any specific case at this stage,'' IBM India managing director Ranjit Limaye said in New Delhi after launching IBM's e-business centre at Gurgaon.

The Gurgaon e-business centre is IBM's second such facility in the world that combines its global expertise and Indian talent.

''The centre will provide focus on the area of e-governance and employee for the government. It signifies our commitment to the development of e-environment in this region,'' Limaye said.

The e-business facility is part of IBM's initiative to increase the commitment and investment in India. It has already established strong presence in the country. Besides two software development centres in Bangalore and Pune, the company has set up a technology centre in Bombay. It has a PC manufacturing facility at Pondicherry as well.
