PSU oil company officers strike work

Email this report to a friend

Officers of the public sector oil companies on Tuesday went on an indefinite strike all over the country protesting against the government's 'apathetic attitude' to their various long-pending demands.

Convenor of the Oil Sector Officers' Association Ashok Singh claimed the strike had adversely affected functioning of the state-owned oil companies, and termed it a total success. Operation of flights was in danger, since some oil companies had put non-trained people in some airports for providing aviation fuel to aircraft, he warned

The OSOA decided to contest the ruling of the Bombay and Delhi high courts declaring the strike illegal. This was an ex-parte ruling, he added.
