Manoj Tirodkar is India's Young Business Achiever

Manoj Tirodkar, vice-chairman and managing director of Global Tele-Systems Limited, was presented with this year's India Young Business Achiever award at the hands of Union Minister of State for Finance Balasaheb Vikhe Patil at a function in Bombay today.

The award is an integral part of a global programme to honour the World Young Business Achiever with an award presented by the Worldcom Group.

The award winner will represent India at the world event to be held in Orlando in USA on April 15. The world event this year has a strong support of Disney World.

The prime objective of the award is to foster the spirit of excellence and achievement at a very young age and to encourage and recognise the best of Indian entrepreneurial skills.

A panel of judges headed by noted industrialist Keshub Mahindra selected Tirodkar. Other members of the panel included S S Dave, K V Kamath, Uday Kotak, Deepak Parekh, Harsh Goenka and K S Kasliwal.
