Manoj Tirodkar is India's Young Business Achiever

Manoj Tirodkar, MD, Global Tele-Systems Manoj Tirodkar, vice-chairman and managing director of Global Tele-Systems Limited, was presented with this year's India Young Business Achiever award at the hands of Union Minister of State for Finance Balasaheb Vikhe Patil at a function in Bombay today.

The award is an integral part of a global programme to honour the World Young Business Achiever with an award presented by the Worldcom Group.

Email this report to a friend The award winner will represent India at the world event to be held in Orlando in USA on April 15. The world event this year has a strong support of Disney World.

The prime objective of the award is to foster the spirit of excellence and achievement at a very young age and to encourage and recognise the best of Indian entrepreneurial skills.

A panel of judges headed by noted industrialist Keshub Mahindra selected Tirodkar. Other members of the panel included S S Dave, K V Kamath, Uday Kotak, Deepak Parekh, Harsh Goenka and K S Kasliwal.
