Indian Rayon net at Rs 270 million

Indian Rayon and Industries Limited registered a net profit at Rs 270 million during the quarter ended December 31, 1998 and Rs 1.08 billion for the nine months of the fiscal year.

The turnover for the nine months was Rs 13.82 billion while the gross profit stood at Rs 1.98 billion.

Provision for depreciation and taxation was Rs 290 million and Rs 20 million respectively for the quarter.
