27 corporates to enliven Delhi auto show in Jan 2000

As many as 27 domestic and overseas vehicle manufacturers will display their products in the seven-day auto show beginning in New Delhi on January 12, 2000.

The largest event of automobiles in Asia will witness launch of at least 13 vehicles, including the premium Corsa of General Motors. Auto majors from 20 countries, including India, the USA, Britain, France, Argentina, Belarus, Brazil and Czech Republic will take part in the show.

More than 1,000 component- and ancillary-makers would also showcase their products at the event, being organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, Society of Indian Automoblie Manufacturers and the Automotive Component Manufacturers' Association of India.

A concurrent show on small automotive industry, Auto Enterprise, will be held alongside Auto Expo. A series of seminars and conferences on issues relating to manufacturing technologies, counterfeit auto parts and auto component supply chain will also be held at the event.
