Khan, former IDBI chief, to head urban infrastructure fund

Former chairman of Industrial Development Bank of India S H Khan has agreed to be the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rs 1 billion Feedback First Urban Infrastructure Fund.

S H Khan, former CMD of IDBI, now chairman of Feedback Ventures urban infrastructure fund The fund would identify, develop and finance viable infrastructure projects in the country.

The fund, an initiative of the Feedback Ventures Group, is expected to catalyse urban infrastructure projects worth Rs 15-20 billion.

The fund has been structured as a 10-year closed-ended fund and will target the medium-sized urban infrastructure projects ranging between Rs 750 million to Rs 2.5 billion.

Email this report to a friend Such projects are estimated to constitute about 40 per cent of the total investments required in developing urban infrastructure in India.

The company will bid for projects through special purpose vehicles formed in association with relevant partners.

The fund will take equity ranging from 10 to 49 per cent in the various SPVs. The Feedback Ventures Group has catalysed projects with a total investment of more than $ 3 billion in the last five years.
