Email this report to a friend

Omega, the Swiss watch company, is introducing new jewellery watches set with diamonds, rubies and sapphires in India as a part of fashion designer Rohit Bal's fall-winter fashion show.

The company which entered the Indian watch market about a year ago, has developed an art of integrating its various branded products with Indian tradition, culture and personalities to promote its image.

Omega has forged tie-ups with the Mother Teresa missionary in Calcutta, Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad and Fashion Design Institution in Delhi to promote its objectives of bringing together different concepts along with its branded watches.

This was the key to the success of Omega in India, company president Michele Sofisti said.

''We feel that India with its rich traditions, has enormous potential for the future. The company has decided to invest actively in India by creating synergies with some of its important institutes of the region and by exchanging experiences and information to our mutual benefit,'' he added.
