Civil aviation minister to visit Surat over airport demand

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ananth Kumar will visit Surat on July 12 to review the probabilities of developing the Mugdalla air-strip into a full-fledged airport, a Bharatiya Janata Party statement said.

Union Textile Minister Kanshiram Rana, who represents Surat constituency in Parliament, had emphasised the long-standing demand for the development of the air-strip in his recent meeting with Kumar at New Delhi, the statement said.
