Technical Analysis

Technical analysis evaluates the future price of a stock based on statistical analysis. It will examine price changes, changes in volume of trading and other parameters to identify patterns.

It does not regard underlying fundamental market factors.

Fundamental analysis, on the other hand, looks at the fundamental facts about a company: profits, sales, earnings, dividends, assets, products, competition, loans and growth potential.
